The younger Free-Ride offspring’s admiration for and appreciation of the work of Jonathan Coulton continues unabated.
In fact, JoCo songs have become the subject of painstaking drawings that the younger Free-Ride hopes Mr. Coulton might encounter while Googling himself (as one does).
The latest offering is the younger Free-Ride offspring’s conception of Skullcrusher Mountain (lyrics here):
The level of detail is impressive. Maybe even a little disturbing. But I will admit to being quite taken with the half-pony, half-monkey monster:
For those who didn’t already know:
I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you
But I get the feeling that you don’t like it
What’s with all the screaming?
You like monkeys, you like ponies
Maybe you don’t like monsters so much
Maybe I used too many monkeys
Isn’t it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?
Imagine how excited I am that Mother’s Day is coming.
I know it’s not intended, but isn’t this a little sick appearing today?
Hehe! I once posted those lyrics on my blog and sitemeter told me that somebody had found my blog using the search words “Isn’t it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you”. Perhaps you’ll be as lucky. 😉
The young Free-Ride is a talented artist (with good taste, may I add).
Regarding the last comment, is the young Free-Ride familiar with Mother’s Day Song by frequent JoCo co-conspirators Paul and Storm? If so, you might hope there’s not too much disturbing detail on the pictures in your Mother’s Day card.
This Isises are recent converts to JoCo’s goodness. I love him!!!
Do you think I could commission the younger sprog to do a portrait of the Isis family?
