A commencement story.

Ahem.
Beach ball here! Kids, I’m not going to march myself into the stadium!

That’s better. Thanks dude!

The pomp! The circumstance!
How long is this supposed to take?
Well, the people on the podium giving the speeches won’t mind if we entertain ourselves.

Whee!
Just keep it under control or else —

Uh, you’re kind of young to be a graduate, aren’t you?

Can I go home with you?

  1. We had a beach ball at my high school graduation ceremony, it lasted for a disappointingly short time before the principle intercepted, promptly produced a knife from under his gown, and slashed it…welcome to the real world, graduates! 😉

  2. I is confused!
I thought that commencement was different to graduation. Now I learn they are the same thing. How strange things are on the other side of the Pond!
Of course, I didnt bother with either of my graduation ceremonies. (Or can you have more than one graduation ceremony? Do you graduate from a post-grad course? Sounds like philosophy to me, I’ll leave it to others)
I would have gone if I had been promised beachball fun though!

  3. We should be happy that they tend to throw around just beach balls (many were present, albeit briefly, at our commencement yesterday until the marshalls confiscated them). Last year someone brought an inflatable sex doll…..
